Duties of the dean of faculty:

  • General Head official of the activities and staff of the dean’s office of the faculty;
  • Ensuring the training of qualified personnel at the faculty, direct Head official of educational, methodological, scientific, spiritual and educational work, ensuring the implementation of state educational standards, curricula, study programs;
  • Organize and monitor the development of training schedules, monitor student achievement and attendance, conduct rating control, organize disciplinary control:
  • Preparation of draft orders for the transfer of students from one course to another;
  • Prepare student scholarship applications;
  • Arranging for students to defend their dissertations and participate in state certification;
  • Search for, identify and organize individual, targeted activities with talented students, prepare them for participation in science Olympiads, competitions of various foundations (including foreign);
  • Training of trainee-researchers, coordination of professional development of professors and teachers;
  • Coordinating and managing the preparation of textbooks, manuals and manuals related to the educational areas of the faculty;
  • Ensuring the widespread introduction of new information technologies in the educational process, the acquisition of new information technologies by faculty;
  • Head official of the Faculty Council;
  • Scientific and scientific-methodical conferences, interdepartmental meetings, seminars with the participation of faculty and students on current topics (including news and scientific and technical development in their field, issues of economic and social development of the country, etc.), dialogue (organization and holding of discussions);
  • In cooperation with the marketing service of the higher education institution to study the current and future needs of specialties prepared at the faculty, to establish contacts with applicant organizations, enterprises, institutions, to regulate employment opportunities for graduates (targeted contracts), to provide practical advice ;
  • Establish cooperation with related higher and secondary special education institutions and research institutions, including developed countries;
  • Independent organization of additional educational services at the faculty level (separate “Center”, “Course”, etc. with its own account), attraction of grants, investments, including the faculty professor-ensuring the active participation of teachers and students;
  • Organization of educational work in student dormitories:
  • Consideration of appeals within its competence.
  • Must know:
  • Know the essence of the laws related to the activities of the faculty, Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers, Decisions of the Board of the Ministry, orders of the director of the branch, annual and future plans of the branch;
  • Qualification requirements:
  • Professional and organizational skills required for Head official positions in higher education institutions, managerial experience and experience in the field of education, relevant knowledge and skills within the scope of activities and competencies;
  • Exemplary personal qualities — intellect, culture, leadership, creativity have the skills, courtesy, organization, initiative and entrepreneurial skills, a sense of responsibility, independent decision-making and action, perseverance, ensuring the achievement of strategic goals of the institution;
  • Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the areas of specialization and a doctorate or candidate of science degree, the title of professor or associate professor;
  • Must have at least 5 years of effective work experience in the field of faculty.
