Erasmus Policy Statement 2021-2027

The Fergana regional branch of State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan (USIACF) is dedicated to nurturing artistic talent and promoting cultural heritage through comprehensive educational programs. Established with the mission to foster a deep understanding and appreciation of the arts within Uzbekistan and beyond, the USIACF aims to contribute to the preservation and development of national culture while integrating global perspectives through research, education, and community engagement.

Internationalization and Collaboration
USIACF recognizes the importance of international collaboration in advancing the arts and cultural studies. The USIACF is committed to expanding its international partnerships to enhance the educational experience of its students and faculty. By participating in the Erasmus+ Programme, the USIACF seeks to establish meaningful exchanges with European and global institutions, thereby enriching its academic programs and contributing to the global dialogue on arts and culture.

Educational and Research Goals
The USIACF offers a range of programs in arts, culture, and related disciplines, with a strong emphasis on research-based learning and practical experience. The USIACF aims to develop a curriculum that is aligned with the principles of the Bologna Process and the EU Modernization Agenda, focusing on student-centered learning, innovation in teaching methods, and the integration of traditional and contemporary artistic practices.
Through the Erasmus+ Programme, the USIACF plans to expand its research initiatives by collaborating with international partners. This will include joint research projects, artistic collaborations, and the development of new methodologies in arts education. The USIACF is particularly interested in exploring the intersections of traditional Uzbek arts with global trends in contemporary art, thereby fostering a unique blend of cultural heritage and modern expression.

Mobility and Exchange Opportunities
USIACF is committed to providing its students with opportunities for international mobility. By participating in the Erasmus+ Programme, the USIACF aims to offer students the chance to study abroad, engage in internships, and participate in artistic residencies. These experiences will allow students to gain exposure to different artistic traditions, enhance their creative skills, and build networks with peers and professionals from around the world.
The USIACF also encourages faculty mobility to promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise across borders. Faculty members will have opportunities to teach and conduct research at partner institutions, bringing back valuable insights to enrich the academic environment at USIACF.

Capacity Building and Development
As part of its participation in the Erasmus+ Programme, the USIACF will engage in capacity-building projects aimed at strengthening the institute’s academic and administrative capabilities. These projects will focus on developing new programs, improving teaching and research infrastructure, and enhancing the overall quality of education in the arts and culture.
USIACF is also committed to contributing to the development of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the European Research Area (ERA) by actively participating in joint initiatives and networks. The USIACF will leverage its unique cultural perspective to contribute to the global discourse on arts education and cultural heritage preservation.

Conclusion
The USIACF views participation in the Erasmus+ Programme as a crucial element of its strategy to become a leading center for arts and cultural studies in Uzbekistan. By fostering international collaboration, promoting mobility, and enhancing research and education, the branch aims to create a vibrant academic community that contributes to the global arts and culture landscape.
