People’s artist of Uzbekistan, theater and film actress, professor Shafoatkhan Rahmatullayeva died at the age of 83.
The actress was born on January 4, 1941 in the village of Navbahor, Furqat district, Fergana region. After graduating from high school, she successfully graduated from the Institute of Pedagogy, then the “Musical Drama” faculty of the Institute of Theater and Art. For many years, the musical drama theaters of Sirdarya region and Kokand city have performed “Maysara’s work”, “Love of the country”, “Where are you, dear child”, “Earth vein”, “King Lear”, “Aching teeth”, “False white bone”, “Women’s cry”, “Ma’mura old woman” and became known for her roles. In 1995, she won the “Best Actress” nomination for the roles of Aunt Poshsha and Ma’mura, an old woman. Also “Clown”, “Sevginator”, “Sevginator-2”, “To marry – to give life”, “From myself to myself”, “Sacrifices”, “Race”, “Magic cap”, “Riding the yellow giant” .
Acted in films such as at the same time, Sh.Rakhmatullayeva taught “Acting skills” and “Stage speech” to students at the Fergana regional branch of Uzbeistan State Institute of Arts and Culture.
In 1980, she received the title of “Honored Artist of Uzbekistan”. In 1992, she received the title of “People’s Artist of Uzbekistan”. In 2018, she was awarded the “Labour Fame” award.
Shafoat Rahmatullayeva selflessly served in the development of theater and cinema, as a lively and sincere person, will live forever in our hearts.
